    The BGE is a smoker, a grill and an oven all in one. You can cook an entire meal at once by including your veggies. Corn, potatoes, mushrooms, onions, they are all superb! There are even desserts you can enjoy from the Egg.

    The BGE is made of high quality heat holding ceramics. Its thick walls retain, circulate and radiate heat evenly so you never need a rotisserie to get perfectly cooked meals. This insulating quality cooks foods with an amazingly small consumption of charcoal. A 20 lb. bag of natural charcoal will usually provide two to three months of use, even if you cook out several times per week. When you are through cooking, just close the lid and the top and bottom drafts. This extinguishes the fire. You can reuse about 80% of the charcoal.

    MOISTURE RETENTION & SMOKING

    The ceramic walls hold heat and moisture extremely well. Foods are juicier and more flavorful, with little or no shrinkage. Using a traditional water smoker, a turkey or ham can take as long as 12 to 24 hours. The BGE can cook a ham or turkey to perfection in just a few hours. There is no need to use messy water pans or endless hours of tending, your foods naturally stay juicy and will not dry out. Plus, your Egg gives you control of the degree of smoked flavor. You can have just a hint of smoke or have your meats smoked through to the bone.

    Starting is quick without starter fluid and regardless of wind conditions. The airflow works like a woodstove. The BGE will be at operating temperature and ready to use in less than fifteen minutes. By adjusting the dampers, located on top of the lid, you can attain temperature accuracy within two degrees. You can do your grilling, barbecuing, smoking and baking at exactly the temperatures you need. The optional heat gauge will give precise readings of temperature, from 0 to 750 degrees.
