A DESIGNER WITH A PASSION FOR CREATING DREAM KITCHENS
A Graduate of the Interior Design Program at Sheridan College, Amy discovered her love for Kitchen Design while in school. As the Heart of the Home, there is no other space that requires so much space planning and thoughtful design …than the kitchen. Amy loves to find ways to create beautiful and welcome designs while focusing on maximizing space. Amy is an NKBA Award winning designer, specializing in Kitchens for over 20 years. She is always inspired to create spaces that are not only beautiful but that function well for her client’s needs.

This was a very special project for Amy…her personal kitchen located in Milton, Ontario. This small builder kitchen had “good bones” with a u-shaped plan complete with an island and 9 ft ceilings, adding volume to the space. The footprint worked well for appliance placement but Amy wanted to increase the function of the cabinetry, giving everything a “home.” The goal was to create a space her family would love to be together in and to add her personal style.
Amy landed on a classic design palatte of black and white which is her “go to.” The look she wanted to achieve was that of a parisian apartment, featuring classic elements with unexpected details.
The appliances for this space needed to feel contemporary and clean. Paneling the dishwasher and having a built- in range-hood was a must for creating this look. Sleek, contemporary Café appliances were the perfect choice for the refrigerator and the range.
This Café Counter-depth french door refrigerator features internal water dispenser and LED showcase lighting.
Cooking will be fun on this very contemporary Café Duel Fuel slide-in range featuring gas cooktop and electric oven with large capacity. Slide-in ranges allow more of the backsplash to be seen for a seamless look.
This Bosch dishwasher was chosen because it is panel ready to blend in with cabinetry, but also because it is ultra-quiet and has added space inside because the unique Rack-matic system.
Amy wanted a very discreet hood fan and that is why she chose this Falmec model FIDAN28B6SS3 which is almost invisible in the design but has amazing blower power to remove odors and heat from the kitchen.
